The Malbaum can be seen at Neuer Platz in Spittal. The 18-metres-high sight shows the history of Spittal and its surroundings. On four rings, various scenes from the time of the Celts, the Romans, the ruling family of the Ortenburg, the World Wars and the time when Spittal was granted the town privileges are depicted in colourful pictures. The Malbaum was dismantled in 2017 and repositioned in 2021 after a complete renovation so that everyone can admire it in its original splendour. 

Juicy Lucy is an American-style restaurant and offers international cuisine including breakfast, desserts and hot dishes. There is an exciting story about the history of the restaurant. Lucy was the daughter of an Italian-Irish immigrant family from Boston, USA, who decided to leave her new home country and set out to explore the culinary roots of her parents. On a journey to Rome, she meets Donatella – an inseparable friendship develops. They decide to explore all of Europe and find the best places to eat. In London, they meet another girl named Molly who had the same interests. The three girls decided to make their preferences and dreams real and opened their own restaurant. Many other restaurants throughout Europe have followed in the past decades.
