There are so many different and unique natural and architectural wonders, cultural heritage is very rich and eating, drinking and having fun is a very important part of a day in this amazing country. You must visit Spain at least once in a lifetime, and if you’re looking for an idea for a solo trip it’s a perfect choice.
Spanish people are known to be very friendly, warm, and chatty, so meeting some new buddies should be pretty easy. Just be sure to learn at least a few phrases in Spanish, and it will happen even easier.

Greece is another Mediterranean country very rich in cultural and historical heritage, and if you’re really into learning a lot about other cultures it might be best to thoroughly explore it on your own. No matter what time of the year you choose to visit Greece, you’ll have plenty of things to see and do — there are tons of astonishing museums, archaeological findings, and gorgeous palaces to see. Of course, if you decide to go there in the summertime, there are so many beaches to enjoy, no matter if you decide to visit a coastal town or one of its many, many islands.
Also, as it is the case with other Mediterranean countries, people are super nice and friendly, so you won’t have any bad times — just enjoy your time. Whatever city or island you choose for your solo trip to Greece you won’t make a mistake, but we recommend Athens for the first time. New Zealand is one very calm, chill, and safe country, and it became a frequent destination for solo travelers. It’s not a that big country, and getting around is quite easy, which could be a reason to decide to choose it for your first solo trip. There are many people choosing New Zealand for their solo trips, so you’ll probably meet some fellow travelers. Locals are very friendly and eager to help travelers that are passing by, so your stay should be very pleasant. Also, you don’t need to know any languages besides English if you plan to travel to New Zealand — convenient, right?
This lovely country is super green, and beautiful. You’ll meet some cute animals (no threatening ones, we promise), breathe in the fresh air, and just enjoy the wilderness. We totally understand why it’s in the top 5 of this list. You should probably know that New Zealand is not fully developed when it comes to technology, so you might have some issues with your cell reception and the Internet — perfect excuse for being completely offline for a couple of days and enjoying your surroundings.

If you’re having some thoughts about visiting Australia we highly encourage you to do so — it’s one of the most fascinating countries in the world. Australia has it all, from the amazing natural wonders, perfect beaches, to cosmopolitan cities and urban jungles. Australia is the perfect destination for a solo traveler — there are so many people who travel alone to the Land Down Under that you actually won’t feel alone. But in case you’re not feeling very social, there are quite a few places in Australia where you can be totally alone.
Fun fact: Australia is one of the safest countries on Earth, so it’s another thing that makes it perfect for traveling solo. Just like in New Zealand, you only need to know English if you’re traveling to Australia, which makes it so much easier.
